Jandhyala is one of the remarkable names in telugu film industry as a top telugu comedy director and as a good dialogue writer. He is popular with most of his movies in which Aha Naa Pellanta, Choopulu Kalasina Subhavela, Bava Bava Panneru etc are full length comedy movies with great entertainment throughout the movie. He is the director who had introduced Padmasri and Guniness Book Holder - Brahmanandam in the movie Aha Naa Pellanta.

Jandhyala was born on the propitious day of Makara Sankranti in 1951 to a telugu Brahmin family at Narsapuram. He completed his graduation in commerce from SRR and CVR college in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

He had given number of telugu comedy movies with remarkable comedy charcters to Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sutti Velu and Sutti Veerabhadra Rao. The combination of Jandhyala and sutti veerabhadra rao is hit in all the movies. Aaha naa pellanta is the debutant film for Brahmanandam and it was a biggest hit commercially with full length comedy between Brahmanandam and Kota Srinivasa Rao and between Brahmanandam and Gundu Hanumantha Rao.

He wrote many interesting dramas from his college days and got an opportunity to work for K. Vishwanath’s film named Siri Siri Muvva. He had given remarkable comedy movies and also acted in few movies and also worked as a dubbing artist for some of the movies.

He was honored with many prestigious awards in which a national award for the movie Ananda Bhairavi as a best regional director and also with a well reputed award “Hasya Brahma”.

Chupulu kalasina subhavela is one of the outstanding comedy movies directed by jandhyala. The comedy between brahmanandam and Sutti Veerabhadra Rao is remarkable and really a big treat to all telugu comedy lovers. Most of the dialogues of this movie are well enjoyed, mostly sutti veerabhadra rao explaining a scene to brahmanandam about a couple searching their missing six years old son in adilabadu, hyderabadu, secunderabadu, ahmedabadu is remarkable.

Jandhyala got married with Annapurna and has two daughters. It is a great tribute to Hasya Brahma Jandhyala for his outstanding work to telugu cinema industry. Jandhyala died on 19th June 2001 with a heart illness in a private hospital in Hyderabad.
