Family Ties?

Viewing Cordy Ryman’s solo show at DCKT (up through the 31st) I’m struck by the family resemblance his work has—not to his famous parents, Merrill Wagner and Robert—but to the genetic ties he shares with other painters, sculptors and quilters who have stacked or pieced wood, fabric and paper, or engaged hard-edge
