Wedding Wednesday: Jesus Peiro SS 2012

Strong silhouettes and dramatic draping are the key design elements of Spanish bridal designer Jesus Peiro's collection for Spring Summer 2012. You will find very little embellishment beyond an occasional bow among these gowns. A few of the gowns are lacy, but the rest are rather austere in their materials.

I'm always amazed by the exquisite designs of wedding cakes, from dainty cakes made for an intimate celebration, to large elaborate cakes meant for a grand fete. Every bride dreams of serving the perfect cake. Luckily, there seems to be no end to the creative possibilities of this sweet medium.

It is difficult to choose a favourite from this collection, but, if pressed, I would have to go with the strapless lace dress with the satin waist sash. 
I must say, the black gown would seem more daring if Vera Wang had not done it first. Still, it is a bold move.
