Pistachio & Rosewater Cake

A cake recipe for you, just because the picture is so pretty,--and because I love cake!





Pistachio & Rosewater Cake

Serves: 8
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 40-50 minutes

Ingredients:

225g butter at room temperature, and a little extra for greasing
60g cornflour (or plain flour)
1 tsp baking powder
100g blanched almonds
125g shelled pistachios

I love this gorgeous 2012 collection by Nina Ricci, don't you? (That last one is not a frock, of course, but I just had to include it.) I wouldn't mind wearing the pink satin dress, myself, or the red dress, or the lovely floral one. They are all so feminine and elegant.

A chic dollhouse for grown-up girls

When I was a little girl, I had a dollhouse, which my dad had made for me from a kit. It was one of the best Christmas presents I've ever been lucky enough to receive. The dollhouse was yellow, with black shutters. I had so much fun playing house, imagining how I could dress up the rooms, and what I would do if it were a real house.

We had quite a memorable holiday weekend, to put it mildly. Let's just say that Glen and I are very glad to be returning to our normal life together, minus the stress of Christmas. 
I learned how to prepare prawns, when we made them for Christmas Eve dinner, with Glen's daughters. I must say, I don't ever plan to do that again! Beheading my food is not something I would like to repeat. Next time
