| Manchester United vs Juventus at Kolkata? |
Football crazy Kolkata could well turn up as the host of one of the most glittering clashes of all time on Indian soil after reports suggesting that English Premier League giants Manchester United might play against recently crowned Serie-A champions Juventus on 1st August at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata. The match could only take place if the All India Football Federation(AIFF) and the Sports Ministry permits the same, as it is a must to take the permissions for a match of such high magnitude. The match is learnt to be organized by a sports management group whose name is under the covers. The organizers have also made sure that major players of starting XI makes the match a success.
Earlier Kolkata gave a rare treat to Indian Football when it hosted the International Friendly starring Lionel Messi, who wore the captains armband for his home Nation, Argentina against Venezuela on September 2nd, 2011. Earlier there was a talk of another star-studded match between Inter Milan and Barcelona but that never really took place.
