Sir Alex Ferguson believes David Beckham will make mistakes if you accept the proposal and return to play Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Beckham will reportedly stay one step longer anchored at White Hart Lane from the Los Angeles Galaxy on loan until the League of the United States (MLS) re-rolling, the end of March 2011.
Sir Alex hopes Beckham can change his mind to return to the Premier League with Tottenham. The reason, Ferguson assess Beckham was too old to face the Premiership pace.
"Obviously anyone in the age of 35 was looking at the end of his career. I have a player at Manchester United as Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville who grew up with David at the same level," said Sir Alex as quoted Goal, Saturday, January 8, 2011.
"They know they are at the end of their career and the worst thing a manager is to look at the situation. In the end, these players will retire. David knew very well about it."
Ferguson and Beckham likens the situation similar to that experienced by Henrik Larsson when only two months to defend Chelsea on loan in 2007. At that Larsson had to return to his hometown club Helsingborgs.
"If you come to England, then he should be back in March. That's a very short period and we had experienced a similar situation with Henrik Larsson in 2007," said Sir Alex.
"We use it with a good two months and Henrik played a great role, but we know will miss him when we need it. But that's the deal, so we have to keep going," Sir Alex's close.
