Here are four good reasons which makes the Groups of this years Federation Cup 2011/12 more exciting.
1) GROUP A- Mohun Bagan vs Churchill Brothers
This match will surely be a battle of two clubs who are strong contenders for this years Federation Cup.All eyes will be on Mohun Bagan Striker Odafe Onyeka Okolie as he goes one on one against his Former club,a club where he won back to back GOLDEN BOOT for highest number of Goals in the National League.Also the inclusion of current I league second division winners Shilong Lajong Fc makes this Group exciting.
2) GROUP B- Its an Easy Group,but since The Defending I league Champs Salgaocar are in it,it makes difficult for clubs like Mumbai Fc,HAL & Pailan Arrows.All eyes will be on how Salgaocar SC come up this season after winning the I league last season.
3) GROUP C- Or the Group of DEATH ,the best Group of this years Federation Cup comprising of East Bengal,Dempo SC,Pune Fc & one qualifying club.Predictions are going on and even predictors are finding it difficult as who will make it from this Group.The match between East Bengal vs Dempo SC may give answers,but Pune FC have already proved it why they cant be taken lightly.
4) GROUP D- This is also an exciting Group as it consists of Clubs like Prayag United,Chirag United Kerala,Air India & Sporting Club De Goa.Expectations are high from Prayag United,but since anything can happen in Football,so it will be an Exciting Group.the battle is obviously between a New Arch Rivals in Indian Football Chirag United Kerala & Prayag United..Two clubs with new sponsors and new management and two clubs of Battle between Club Officials..While Sporting Club De GOA have an outside chance..specially with the team which they have made comprising of I league experienced players like Kalu D Ogba.
