Cash flow: Chelsea want Hulk, Walcott, Tiote and van der Wiel

Roman Abramovich's spending shows no sign of stopping despite finally landing the Champions League

Chelsea are only halfway through an incredible summer recruitment drive – despite already agreeing to splash nearly £80million on Eden Hazard, Hulk and Marko Marin.
The Blues are set to smash through the £100m mark before the start of next season as they now work on signing a winger, midfield destroyer and reliable right-back.
Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, Newcastle’s Cheick Tiote and Ajax star Gregory van der Wiel are all on Chelsea’s radar as owner Roman Abramovich and technical director Michael Emenalo look to reshape the squad.
Midfielder Hazard last week announced he is set to sign for £32m and a £38m fee has been agreed for Porto’s Brazilian forward Hulk in a serious statement of intent. Marin had already been snapped up for £8m from Werder Bremen.
Despite being yet to appoint a permanent manager, Abramovich will not stop there. He and Emenalo still believe the squad needs strengthening in three key positions in a bid to ensure they are genuine Premier League contenders next season.
Money could be recouped as the club are prepared to listen to offers for Florent Malouda, Michael Essien and Daniel Sturridge.
Despite the move for Hulk, Abramovich has also assured Fernando Torres he will start next term as Chelsea’s No.1 striker.
