Kyle Walker signs new Tottenham contract until 2017

England international signs a new improved deal at White Hart Lane to cap a memorable season for the 21-year-old that has seen him named PFA Young Player of the Year

Tottenham defender Kyle Walker has signed a new deal that will tie him down to the north London club until 2017.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season at Spurs; featuring 45 times for the club in all competitions, making his England debut and being crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year.

The Sheffield-born defender was also named in the PFA's Team of the Year to cap off a remarkable rise in prominence in the Premier League.
"Happy to have just signed a contract extension. My future is at the club and I believe we have big things 2 come," he wrote on Twitter after the news was announced by his club on Wednesday.
Walker was signed from Sheffield United in 2009 and was immediately loaned back to his hometown club before spending loan spells at QPR and Aston Villa.
However, the youngster returned to White Hart Lane last summer and had since established himself as the first choice right-back at the club and has been rewarded with an improved contract as Tottenham look to retain one of their most-prized assets.
Walker made his international debut in November when he replaced domestic team-mate Scott Parker to help England beat world champions Spain before going on to earn his second cap, and first start, in the following friendly against Sweden, being named man of the match in the process.
