The much awaited derby ended in a draw as both teams failed to convert their chances to goal and thus had to settle for a single point only. For East Bengal, Robin Singh gave the lead in the 33rd minute of the game while for Mohun Bagan, Nigerian goal scoring machine Odafa Okolie scored the all important equalizer in the 47th minute.
